It is time for all Texas Patriots to defend the Alamo again!

Texas Patriots,

We must "Save the Alamo"…yet again!
The Alamo does not need to be "reimagined!"

The Alamo must be remembered, reclaimed,
and restored
by people who love and respect the history of Texas, including those brave souls who fought and died to liberate her.

Background summary:

In May 2017, the San Antonio City Council voted to accept the concepts of the Reimagine the Alamo Master Plan.  Included in this plan is moving the memorial Alamo Cenotaph away from the grounds of the actual battlefield!

The Alamo Cenotaph, also known as the Spirit of Sacrifice, is the monument commemorating the Battle of the Alamo, which was fought at the adjacent Alamo Mission. The monument was erected in celebration of the centennial of the battle and bears the names of those known to have fought there on the Texas side.

The Alamo Cenotaph inscription reads, "Erected in memory of the heroes who sacrificed their lives at the Alamo, March 6, 1836, in the defense of Texas. They chose never to surrender nor retreat; these brave hearts, with flag still proudly waving, perished in the flames of immortality that their high sacrifice might lead to the founding of this Texas."

What YOU can do:

Many Texans are upset with even the thought of the cenotaph being removed from its present location and want to send a loud and clear message to Land Commissioner George P. Bush, his General Land Office, and the City of San Antonio that this is unacceptable!

On Saturday, October 14, there will be a peaceful gathering from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm at the memorial cenotaph to protest the removal.

Please make plans to attend.

Voices being heard in unison have and are making a difference in what the Alamo project will look like.  Because of citizens speaking up, the proposed Plexiglas wall has been removed from the design, and the trees that were going to be removed are now going to stay.

Remember the Alamo and let those who are doing the designing know what you think! Make plans to be at the Alamo at high noon on October 14!
