The Folly Continues - Montgomery County Republican Party

Updated: Dec 7, 2023

Unless you're living under a rock, you're aware of the huge divide within our MoCo Republican Party. In fact, the entire State of Texas is aware of our split! RPT, the Republican Party of Texas, even presided over a mediation between the two sides. They called one side “the Chairman's' Group” and the other side “the Precinct Chairs Group”. RPT summed up the meeting as follows:“Ultimately the rift is, in my assessment, a result of a complete failure of leadership by Chair Christ.” Name-Calling has been rampant with one side even accusing the other of Anti-Semitism and White Supremacy! That's not how a Leader should behave!

The last “joint meeting” was held on July 23, 2022. Subsequently, the “Chairman's Group” meet with their group of 28 elected precinct chairs on August 13, 2022. The “Precinct Chairs Group” meet with their group of 64 elected precinct chairs on August 13, 2022. Both sides “claim” to be the Majority!

To the public at large and especially to elected officials, please do your due diligence before aligning with or contributing to either of these two groups. You can read each sides Meeting Minutes and Sign-In Sheets on their websites. The Chairman's Group is MCRPTX.org.The Precinct Chairs Group is MCTXGOP.org.

Don't fall for the Spin. Please do your own research!
